Urban Mined hackathon concludes at London Design Festival

London partners Clear Village hosted the latest instalment of the CIRCuIT Urban Mined hackathon during the annual London Design Festival with Good Waste and Other Today.

The latest hackathon exhibited prototypes and experiments alongside other resident designers at Hackney Depot, including a panel discussion about material reuse and the importance of systemic design, culminating with an interactive workshop to share techniques such as decalcifying plaster board and mixing the gypsum with pigments derived from brick dust and charcoal to create ‘Scagliolia’ tiles.
